VI LATINAMERICAN SYMPOSIUM OF PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY IN ARCHAEOLOGY, ART AND CONSERVATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE – LASMAC 2017
LA PAZ - BOLIVIA

FIRST CIRCULAR

Dear Colleagues.

The Center for Archaeological and Anthropological Studies and Administration of Tiwanaku (CIAAAT), have the honor to organize the VI Symposium LAMSAC – 2017, in the city of La Paz, Bolivia in July 2017.

Our goal is to organize an international meeting on a high scientific level, on studies conducted in Latin America, that provide updated knowledge in Applied Physics and Chemistry in Archaeology, Art and Conservation of Cultural Heritage, with a special interest in non-destructive techniques.
In this event, we seek to initiate a dialogue about multiple subjects in this area, including interdisciplinary topics directed at challenging investigations, sharing our experiences, strengths, and results with the idea to generate new methodologies in our academic circles.

The first LASMAC symposium took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2007), the second in Cancun, Mexico (2009), the third in Lima, Peru (2011), the fourth in Bogota, Colombia (2013) and the last in Quito, Ecuador (2015). At this last symposium La Paz was elected to organize the VI Symposium, where you are cordially invited to contribute with your investigations.

The instructions about the submission of abstracts, inscription and dates, will be publicized in the second circular. We anticipate that the program of the VI SYMOSIUM LASMAC 2017 will consist in magister lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions.

We thank you for the privilege to be elected as the headquarters of this Great Event and we look forward to meeting you all in the beautiful city of La Paz in 2017 and the village of Tiwanaku, the driving core of this congress, through its Center of Archaeological and Anthropological Studies and Administration.

It will be a great honor to receive you.
